Manufacturing & R&D
Behind the precision of every HKS part — from 3D design to the finished component.
Research & Development
Every HKS project starts with a 3D laser scan of the actual vehicle to determine a precise fit with no side effects on the body. Exhaust flow and suspension loads are then simulated in stress-analysis software before a prototype is built and tested on track.
Precision Manufacturing
Stainless sheet and tube are formed on computer-controlled hydraulic systems, producing smooth bends with no constriction so exhaust gas flows freely. Engine internals are forged and machined on CNC equipment to micron tolerances.
Testing & Quality Control
Every exhaust passes through an anechoic chamber where frequency and decibel levels are measured against legal limits. HIPERMAX dampers are cycled over a million times on a vibration rig to confirm the seals hold and damping performance is retained.
